Back to News
A Conceptual Plan and related documents for the construction of a speculative industrial building will be considered at a meeting of the Pleasant Prairie Village Board on Monday, January 21. Public hearings were held related the project on January 14. The Plan was submitted by CenterPoint Properties, a national, industrial, property management firm. The Plan calls for the construction of the first of three speculative industrial buildings along the south side of 116th Street in Pleasant Prairie, southeast of a VW-Audi Distribution Center.
CenterPoint has proposed construction of a 453,000 square foot industrial building for warehouse, distribution and office purposes on approximately 30 acres of land. The building is proposed to have an initial 50 truck loading docks and four drive-in overhead doors. Parking spaces to accommodate 52 semi-trucks are proposed on either side of the building to the east and west. The value of the first building, upon completion, is estimated to be near $20 million. CenterPoint expects to begin construction during the spring of this year.
During the same meeting, documents were also considered to subdivide and rezone the property. The land is currently being used for agricultural purposes, but it was proposed that a portion of the properties be rezoned to a Limited Manufacturing District.
