What's News in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

93rd St and 104th Ave
The Village of Pleasant Prairie would like to make drivers aware of two upcoming road maintenance projects that will limit daytime access to side streets and private driveways.

A micro-surface treatment will be applied to a portion of 93rd Street between 39th Avenue and Cooper Road. The project is expected to take one day to complete. During the project, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times, and flaggers will control traffic in the area. Access to side streets and driveways will be unavailable approximately between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in order to allow for the micro-surface to cure. Alternate access points to neighborhoods have been identified. Though this work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 16, the start date is dependent upon the weather and other factors and may change. If work does not begin on June 16, it will begin shortly thereafter.

A micro-surface treatment will also be applied to a portion of 104th Avenue near the Prairie Ridge shopping area between 77th Street and County Highway C. The project is expected to take one to two days to complete. Though this work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 17, the start date is dependent upon the weather and other factors and may change. If work does not begin on June 17, it will begin shortly thereafter.

It will be important for drivers to heed any “Road Closed” signs and that they not drive on the micro-surface until it has cured. Signs will be removed and the section of road will be reopened once the micro-surface has cured. Driving on the surface prior to it being cured will cause damage to the micro-surface and splatter the product on the car.

Following the work on 93rd Street and 104th Avenue, similar work will take place on streets within LakeView Corporate Park. Letters identifying alternate points of access have been either mailed or delivered to property owners and businesses in the affected areas.
