Park Installations - Creekside Crossing and Village Green Neighborhood Parks
Per the Village’s Master Park Plan, playground areas are being completed in two neighborhood parks this year in Pleasant Prairie. Play systems are being installed in the Creekside Crossing and Village Green neighborhood parks. As part of the 2012 budget, the play systems were purchased with funds from impact fees.
An impact fee is a fee that is paid to the Village at the time that a building permit is issued for a new development or residence. Impact fees are used to pay for public improvements that are necessary to serve a new development or residence, such as additional police station and fire station capacity and park and trail additions. Impact fees are used to protect existing property taxpayers from paying costs related to newly constructed residences or developments.
Seasonal Village employees are currently working on the construction of the Creekside Crossing play system. Once complete, the team will begin construction in the Village Green neighborhood park.
