The Village Compost Drop-off Site is now open for the season. The Site is located at the Roger Prange Municipal Center at 8600 Green Bay Road. When using the site, please be prepared to provide proof of residence in Pleasant Prairie. If you frequent the site, for your convenience, you can request a compost sticker for your automobile window.
NEW in 2011, the Compost Site will be open on Wednesdays, with the exception of the first Wednesday of the month. On the first Wednesday of the month, a contractor will be on site grinding and removing compost. For safety reasons, the site will remain closed while these activities are taking place. The hours for the Compost Site are shown below.
COMPOST DROP-OFF HOURS
Mondays: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (closed first Wednesday of month)
Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Fridays: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
FREE COMPOST AND WOOD CHIPS - STAFF AVAILABLE TO HELP LOAD ON SATURDAYS
Compost and wood chips are available to Village residents at the Compost Drop-off Site free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis during the hours listed at the left. Monday through Friday, compost and wood chips are available on a self-serve basis. If you require assistance loading compost or wood chips into your vehicle, staff is available on Saturdays to assist you.
