08/15/2007 | JHT Holdings, Inc. Seeks Village Approval of Expansion

At an August 13 meeting of the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission, JHT Holdings, Inc. presented Site and Operational Plans for approval. The plans outline three phases of improvements to a building and site located at 10801 Corporate Drive in Pleasant Prairie. The building was originally built by Snap-On, Inc. during 1994 and 1995 and was used as its corporate headquarters until 2005.

JHT Holdings, Inc. is a parent company of multiple subsidiaries providing transportation services for new and used medium- and heavy-duty trucks and automobiles throughout North America. Improvements to the building at 10801 Corporate Drive will allow JHT, along with its subsidiaries, to consolidate all administrative staff at one office location, as opposed to the multiple buildings where they are currently located.

Improvements have been proposed in three phases. Phase I proposes minor interior office improvements to the office space currently occupying the 36,000 square foot building. Phase II proposes a new 171 space employee parking area with landscaping and improvements to parking lot lighting. Phase III proposes 14,000 square feet of new office space to be built on a lower level which is currently open air, ground floor parking (that is covered by existing second floor office space). The architect working on the JHT project is Partners In Design.

The building rests on approximately 8.5 acres in an area south of Highway 165 near I-94. Upon completion of the proposed changes in Phase III, total square footage in the building will increase to 50,000 square feet. It is expected that nearly 200 employees will work out of the improved office space with typical office hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm.
