Digger's Hotline

The Village of Pleasant Prairie is a "one-call" community, which means by calling a single number, all of the utility companies will come to the site and mark their underground facilities. To help identify the specific utility and prevent damage to underground lines, the following uniform color code system has been adopted:

Red - Electric Power Lines
Orange - Communication Lines (telephone and cable TV)
Blue - Water Lines
Yellow - Gas Lines
Green - Sewer Lines
Pink - Right-of-way or property corner
White - Proposed location for underground construction
(Colored lettering or stripe corresponds to the planned utility.)

Anyone planning excavation or construction activities of any kind is required by State law to contact Digger's Hotline at 1-800-242-8511 to request that the underground utilities be located at least three days before any digging begins.
