Pleasant Prairie Police Department2007 New Releases Archive08/06/2007 | Police Announce Release of Sex Offender into Community This offender is not wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our intention to inform the public of this offenders pending release. Sex offenders have always lived in our communities, but it wasn’t until Act 440 that law enforcement is now able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.
KENNETH G. DERKSON will be released from prison on August 21, 2007 after completing a sentence for 1st degree sexual assault of a child. His conviction occurred in 1992. In this case, DERKSON assaulted an 11 year old non-relative female, and an 8 year old relative female. DERKSON is being released after reaching his mandatory release date. He will be living in the 5400 block of 75th Street in Pleasant Prairie. He is to have no unsupervised contact with minors; he is not to possess or consume alcohol or drugs, or to be in any taverns, bars, or liquor stores. He will be required to register face to face with local law enforcement, and comply with standard sex offender rules from his parole agent. He is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin sex offender registration program. DERKSON will be on electronic monitoring.
