12/14/2007 | Police Announce Release of Sex Offender into Community
(Pleasant Prairie, WI) The Pleasant Prairie Police Department, in cooperation with the Sex Offender Registration Committee, is releasing the following information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender’s release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness, and protection. The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense. Further his criminal history places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend.

This offender is not wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our intention to inform the public of this offenders pending release. Sex offenders have always lived in our communities, but it wasn’t until Act 440 that law enforcement is now able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.

JACK P. LINDGREN will be released from prison on January 8, 2008 after completing a sentence for Child Enticement and Possession of Child Pornography. His conviction occurred in 2003. In this case, LINDGREN assaulted a 14 year old non-relative female child. He was also found having child pornography on his computer. LINDGREN will be under DOC supervision until 2021.

He will be living in the 5400 block of 75th Street in Pleasant Prairie. He is to have no unsupervised contact with his victims or minors; he is not to possess or consume alcohol or drugs, or to be in any taverns, bars, or liquor stores. He will be required to register face to face with local law enforcement, and comply with standard sex offender rules from his parole agent. He is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin sex offender registration program. LINDGREN will be on an electronic monitoring bracelet.
