09/20/2005 | Police Arrest Man for Child Enticement
A mothers concerns about her 12 year old son’s sudden strange behavior has led to multiple felony charges against a 51 year old man from Pleasant Prairie. In early September, that boy told his mother that a man living in their mobile home court had exposed himself, and showed him pornographic magazines and movies.

The mother brought her son to the Pleasant Prairie Police Department, where the boy went into detail about how the man showed him adult movies, magazines, computer pictures, and adult sex toys. The boy reported that the man had exposed himself and engaged in sexual activity in front of him. The boy also reported that the man smoked marijuana in front of him, and threatened him if he told anyone.

Police set up an interview with the child at the Child Advocacy Center at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center where additional information was obtained. Based on the information received, police obtained a search warrant for the man’s residence according to Pleasant Prairie Police Chief Brian Wagner.

While executing the search warrant, police recovered numerous adult magazines, videos, dvd’s, and sex toys along with 29 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia. Police arrested the suspect Larry L. Horschak (51) of 1817 104th Street #23 in Pleasant Prairie.

Police also confiscated several computers and hard drives from Horschak’s residence. These were turned over to Pleasant Prairie Police Detective Randy Myles who is trained in computer forensic examination. Detective Myles found that these hard drives contained thousands of pornographic images of children. “I have been a cop for over 25 years, and this is one of the most disturbing cases I have ever seen” said Wagner. “I am glad this parent was able to recognize her son was troubled, and brought this case to light.”

Horschak has been charged in Kenosha County Circuit Court with:

Possession of Child Pornography
Child Enticement– Exposing Sex Organ
Causing a Child under 13 to View a Sex Act
Expose Harmful Materials to a Child

Possession of THC with Intent to Deliver
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On September 15, Horschak waived his preliminary hearing, and he remains in custody on $20,000 bond. His next court appearance in October 5th.
