04/30/2005 | Police Investigate Beating
(Pleasant Prairie, WI) Pleasant Prairie Police Department Detectives were investigating the beating of one man that occurred at a Pleasant Prairie Tavern early Friday morning.

According to police reports, the man was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Pleasant Prairie by three companions to seek treatment for injuries he received during an altercation with three other men in the parking lot of Texas Jays, 9001 120th Avenue in Pleasant Prairie at about 1:40 A.M. Police were notified of the incident by the hospital.

The men told police that they arrived at the bar at about 1:40 A.M. and were told that the bar was closed. As the men were returning to their car, they were followed out of the tavern by two black males and one white male, whose identities are unknown. In the parking lot, words were exchanged between the two groups and a fight ensued. The white male allegedly retrieved a blunt object, possibly a pipe or a club from his car and struck two of the men in the head with it, knocking one victim, a 24 year old Round Lake, Illinois man to the ground and causing a four inch long laceration to his forehead. He was later determined to have suffered a skull fracture as a result of the blow. The second victim was not seriously injured.

Three of the men were treated at St. Catherine’s Hospital. Police are seeking information regarding the identity of the three unknown combatants. Their vehicle is described as a mid-1990’s Ford Crown Victoria, white in color with chrome 22 inch rims and bearing Wisconsin license plates.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Pleasant Prairie Police Department Detective Bureau at 262-694-7105.
