04/24/2005 | 82 Year Old Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident
(Pleasant Prairie, WI) An 82 year old Pleasant Prairie man died Sunday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle in the 5400 block of 75th Street, according to Pleasant Prairie Police Spokesman Officer Peter Jung.

According to witnesses, the driver was westbound on 75th Street and appeared to be making a left turn into a car lot on the south side of the road. At the last minute, the driver veered back right and struck the median. The driver lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle in the westbound lanes according to Jung.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken by Flight for Life Helicopter to Froedert Medical Center in Milwaukee. He later died at the hospital. 75th Street was closed at 51st Ave for several hours while police investigated the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the Pleasant Prairie Police Department, however speed and alcohol DO NOT appear to be factors. The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
