10/01/2004 | Motor Vehicle Accident
At 6:13 pm our agency received multiple 911 calls for a single vehicle that drove into a retention pond located in the 3200 block of 121st Pl. Witnesses stated that the vehicle sank to the bottom of the 10 foot pond and was still occupied by the driver.

Officers along with the Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival two good Samaritans who lived in the area were in the water attempting to rescue the occupant of the vehicle. The rescue was made at 6:32 pm by the Kenosha County Dive Team and Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue personnel. The victim was transported by ambulance to Kenosha Hospital.

Witnesses stated that the driver prior to the incident appeared to be unconscious as he passed by. Witnesses also state the driver made no evasive maneuvers and no brake lights appeared prior to the vehicle hitting the water.

The name of the driver is not being released at this time. The driver is reported as being alive however his condition is unknown. The cause or reason for the vehicle accident is unknown at this time. An investigation is underway headed by department Accident Investigators.
