Expanded Options for Disposal of Televisions and Computers

The Village of Pleasant Prairie can help you dispose of your old television or home computer. In the past, you would have been able to contact the Public Works Department to schedule a curb-side collection for a television or computer. While you can still call to schedule a pickup for disposal of these items, the Village has added a drop-off option to make disposal more convenient and less expensive. In addition, a new tired fee schedule has been created that takes into account various television sizes and technologies.

TO SCHEDULE A PICKUP

If you would like to schedule a curb-side collection for your old television or home computer, call the Department of Public Works at 262/925-6700 by noon on Tuesday to schedule a pickup for the following day, Wednesday. The fee associated with your pickup will be added to your monthly Utility Bill. Please refer to the chart below for fee information.

These items will be scheduled for pickup on Wednesdays only. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please call and cancel by noon on the Tuesday prior to the scheduled collection. You will be charged for any collection cancelled after 4:00p.m. on the Tuesday prior to your collection.

TO USE THE DROP-OFF OPTION

If you would prefer to drop off your old television or home computer at the Compost Drop-off Site, simply visit the site during the open hours. A member of the department will take your information, determine the fee associated with your particular television size and type, and will direct you to the drop-off location. The fee for the items you drop-off will be added to your monthly Utility Bill.

Closed Wednesday and Sunday
