State law requires that the application be received at least 15 days before it is submitted to the Village Board and that the Village publishes a notice of the application in the newspaper.

The application is reviewed by the Police Department, Fire Department, Community Development Department and the Inspection Department. Approval is needed from all necessary departments prior to submitting to the Village Board for consideration. The Village Board meets on the first and third Monday of each month.

State law also requires that the owner(s) (if individual or partnership) or agent (if corporation or limited liability company) complete the Responsible Beverage Server course. The course is offered at Gateway Technical College. For questions about the course, call GTC at (262) 564-2400.
