Recreation Commission
Overview
The Recreation Commission consists of citizens appointed and confirmed by the Village Board.
The Recreation Commission shall have the following functions and duties:
- To ensure the quality of life for all members of the community by facilitating the acquisition, development and preservation of recreational facilities in an orderly and uniform process.
- Upon the request of the Village Board, to make recommendations to the Village Board regarding the operation of recreational programs and activities and development of recreational facilities.
- Upon the request of the Village Board, to review and submit recommendations to incorporate into the Village's General Code of Ordinances concerning standards for recreational activities.
- To consider and report or recommend on all matters referred to the Recreation Commission.
The Recreation Commission commences meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Village Hall Auditorium. These meetings are open to the public and all citizens are welcome to attend.
